Introducing the first piece of the Alien collection. The Alien collection is comprised of pieces of uranium or Vaseline glass. Alien J046 is a configuration of ribbon pattered cups connecting the layers of depression glass Georgian love birds green saucers.

The glowing quality of Alien J046 makes this jewelry totem perfect for teenagers and college dorm rooms. Alien J046 make a great graduation gift, Halloween decorations or simply a unique piece which glows under a back light. Uranium glass is not your typical glass found in the local garage sale or Salvation Army store. Uranium glass is highly collected which accounts for it’s higher price, but the reaction achieved when showed is worth every penny!

Uranium/Vaseline glass history 

• Uranium or Vaseline glass was named so in the 20th century due to the yellow/canary glass which resembles petroleum jelly.  Oddly it gets the urinous color from radioactive uranium. Uranium/Vaseline glass glow when combined with a black light. The green alien glow is due to infinitesimal – tiny amount of Uranium, usually in oxide diuranate form, added to a glass mix prior to melting.

• Everyone who collects Vaseline glass knows it’s got uranium in it, which means everyone who comes in contact with Vaseline glass understands being irradiated, but the amounts are so tiny it is not dangerous Our bodies are subjected to many times more radiation every day.
