Howdy inhabitants of Wonderland and welcome to The Madd Glasser’s web site.! I think the imagery of Wonderland is very fitting for our current time. Things seem upside down and not what it really appears. I think most of us are asking the quintessential question “Who a I?” This past year, along with this pandemic thing has prompted introspection, reflection on our environment place in it as well as processing the new normal.
I have been very excited about this new venture. Madd Glasser is into it’s third year. That time was spent creating product, experimenting with glue and setting up administrative processes. It has taken me longer than expected, but hey! We’re officially up and running.
I decided a blog would be good to post up dates and announcements. I also am going to post small video files with a tour of my studio and how the pieces are created.
On a personal note I will also be including my never ending journey living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). This is by no means a “petty me – I have it so hard,” but simply an informative purpose. Although the rates of those living with MS increases there are still many people who know little about this invasive disease. Upon discussing this idea of inclusion with a friend she encouraged me to include this information. Starting a business is difficult enough, but living with an unpredictable disability poses it’s on set of challenges. Another function is explaining times when I may not be as productive as other times. Rest assured I will do my best to be timely and efficient. Living with this condition has caused me to use varied strategies and processes to keep as functional as possible.
I have been busier than usual due to getting the web site up and running, creating new pieces and the usual day to day tasks. So I have hit my wall of functionality and am crashing fast so I will say tootle-do for now. Since high school I have used the good bye phrase – “Trials” as in happy trails until we meet again. lol
So friends later and trails!
